Enfants d’Asie in Cambodia
Since 1991, Enfants d'Asie has been working in Cambodia in collaboration with the Cambodian Ministry of Social Affairs and Ministry of Education.
Through access to education, Enfants d’Asie wants to enable the most disadvantaged children to build their future and become responsible actors in their country. We therefore want to fight against everything that forces these children to stop school and give them the same chances of success as others through access to quality education. In order to do this, we are committed to working in collaboration with the families and involving them in their child’s educational project.

The mission offered is based in one of our children’s residential center: Borey Komar (the city of children in Khmer). The center welcomes 46 children and teenagers, and is run by a team of dedicated staff: one director, two educators, one social worker, one cook, three night workers and one security guard.
Borey Komar center opened its doors in 2015 to shelter underprivileged children who are orphaned or come from poor families.
The children are living in a structured living environment and benefit from:
- a daily meal distribution, medical follow-up and social support: three times per day meals are prepared by a cook and children eat in the center. They also have access to a medical follow-up with a nurse.
- the coverage of their schooling's fees (purchase of all school supplies).
- educational and pedagogical support to reinforce their academic knowledge and study habits as well as their personal development. Pedagogical activities and tutoring courses are organized throughout the week, depending on the young people's academic level.
