Equitable Cambodia (EC) is a Cambodian organization working to promote development which respects and protects human rights, sustainable natural resources, transparency and social justice in a democratic way. Equitable Cambodia was registered by the Ministry of Interior as a Cambodian national non-governmental organization in 2012.
The EC’s Operation Department is currently looking for a qualified candidate to fulfill the position of ICT Officer, which is based in Phnom Penh, with frequent travels to the field. This is a fulltime position with a one-year contract and possibility for renewal.
ICT Officer (1 post) Salary range: $663 - $730 (gross monthly), depending on qualifications and work experience.
Contract Type: Specific duration contract
Under the supervision of the Program Director, the ICT Officer will be responsible for the following tasks:
Overall Responsibilities:
- Lead design and publication process for any EC advocacy materials, including providing options design and layout.
- Lead workshops with elements that relate to photography, multimedia productions, social media, and data security. Monitoring and performing ongoing evaluation of workshop effectiveness.
- Oversee social media accounts, producing and curating content that reflects communications priorities and key messages and speaks effectively to the audience.
- Working in cooperation with EC’s various programs, develop written content, including case studies and other multimedia materials which highlight community and partner achievements, and providing technical assistance for community-led multimedia advocacy.
- Provide ad hoc translation services
- Design, develop and maintain a user-friendly internal multimedia database, and a relevant updated media briefing database.
- Assist to obtain quotes for procurement, check purchases and manage inventory of ICT related equipment, including equipment/tools, and software/hardware programs.
- Assist with periodic budget and inventory reviews for ICT items, including producing periodic reports.
- Develop and update a list of professional communications service providers, including professional photographers that EC can use for short-term consultancies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or equivalent in work experience in relevant fields (IT, Media, Communication, English language or political science) or other relevant fields. Khmer fluent, strong English skills.
- Proven experience of assisting with designing, developing, and producing multimedia content with groups and/or communities in Cambodia.
- Demonstrable understanding of modern trends in digital security
- Good understanding of human rights, land rights, and environmental issues in Cambodia
- Demonstrable experience curating and managing social media, and other platforms
