Position: Research Assistant (CDRI)__Deadline:15May

CDRI - Cambodia’s leading independent development policy research institute—is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Research Assistant to be based in the Centre for Development Economics and Trade of CDRI.

  • Support the management and implementation of centre strategies and action plans;
  • Assist and facilitate regular preparation of project proposals, budgeting and reports;
  • Conduct fieldwork, organise engagement and deployment of enumerators and data entry and evaluate quantitative and qualitative data as specified by team leaders;
  • Support research design and contribute to the literature review, analyses and report writing;
  • Write up interview notes and meeting minutes, and facilitate general administrative support to the research team;
  • Liaison with projects’ partners, stakeholders, and government counterparts  
  • Provide administration and finance service, keep centre records;
  • Support effective communication, knowledge building and knowledge-sharing events

  • Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree is an advantage) in development economics, trade and regional cooperation, and development, or related fields.;
  • 1 - 2 years of relevant research and administrative experience;
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to perform quantitative analyses and experience with Excel and other data management packages. Qualitative research skills are also desirable;
  • Keen interest in development economics, trade and regional cooperation, and social research;
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills;
  • Good coordinating and teamwork skills
  • Good communication skills in Khmer and English, both oral and written;
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure;
  • Willingness to learn and to carry out fieldwork involving in-country travel to rural areas.
