CDRI—Cambodia’s leading independent development policy research institute working to produce high quality, influential and impactful development knowledge through policy research and capacity development, is seeking a qualified Research Consultant to work for the IFAD-funded project “Network of Agriculture and Rural Development Think-tanks” (NARDT) for countries in Mekong sub-region. The NARDT project aims to improve the quality of policy formulation and impacts of policy implementation in agriculture and rural development sector through the promotion of information sharing, experience exchange, joint-research and institutional capacity strengthening for the policy think-tanks, networks and dialogues in Myanmar, Lao PDR, Cambodia and Vietnam.

The duration of the assignment is one year with output-based payment. The consultant will have flexible working days and timing environment. The consultant will report to CPARD Director as the lead agency of NARDT project.

Main Responsibilities:
- Leading in the implementation of a research project from conceptualization, methodology, fieldwork management, data analysis, report writing, publications, and dissemination activities.
- Working closely with MAFF in developing MAFF priority research and policy formulation need.
- Producing policy paper, policy brief and formulating policy documents from research project.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A PhD/Master in agricultural science, Agricultural Economics, Economics, or closely related fields
- At least five years experiences in research or research related fields.
- Proven track record of policy-oriented, political, and socio-economic research, and advance economic analysis publications.
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Commitment to policy research and research capacity development in Cambodia.
