The Finance Officer is responsible for controlling the expenses made by SCI project team/partner to ensure the expenditures are incurred in according with approved budget, in line with SCI policies, procedures and cost efficiency and effectiveness. S/he will work hand-in hands supporting CO finance team to ensure Finance vouchers have appropriate codings (Account, Project, Cost Center, Budget, SOF, DRC/DEA, etc).
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
Qualifications and experience
- A Bachelor degree in relevant subject from an accredited University
- At least bachelor degree in Accounting/Management/Administration or equivalent
Essential
- Minimum 3 years of similar working experience, preferably with NGO and INGO
- Experiences in working with NGO or sub-grant partners
- Good team work with related field and other project staff
- Fluently in English and Khmer and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proven strong accounting and analytical skills, good attention to detail
- Sound knowledge administrative affair and procurement process.
- Good communication skill
- Strong commitment to the organisation and highly motivated person
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in an international environment.
Contract length: Unspecified Duration Contract (UDC).
