Catholic Relief Services (CRS) was founded in 1943 by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to assist the poor and disadvantaged. CRS returned to Cambodia in 1991 and works in close partnership with government, local NGOs and international NGOs in the sectors of health and education. CRS’ head office is located in Phnom Penh.
The Finance Intern will support the Finance Team to validate supporting documents, communicate with relevant staff members to obtain the missing documents, process stamp “paid” and manage filling system and documentation to be sent to the Data Safe for storage.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Review and validate supporting documentation before processing financial transactions to ensure all required documents are accurate and complete and proper authorizations are in place.
- Support Finance team to communicate on any outstanding supporting documents for staff advance, staff liquidation before processing vouchers.
- Stamp “PAID” for all financial supporting documents.
- File the vouchers and financial supporting documents to ensure that all finance vouchers are filled in-order/correctly and easy access to those documents while there is any audit or donor visits.
- Facilitate and arrange the financial supporting documents to be ready for audit and donor visits.
- Scan the required supporting documents to be uploaded into Insight system or submit to donors, and CRS HQ as per request.
- Assist Finance Officers and Senior Finance Officers to bring the financial documents to tax offices, banks and other ministries.
Education Background, Experience & Requirements
- High School Diploma required. Professional diploma/Certificate or courses in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration a plus. B.A. degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration highly preferred.
- Minimum of one-year accounting experience.
- Experience with an international organization a plus.
- Additional education may substitute for some experience.
- Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages, in particular Excel and Word. Hands-on experience with data entry into online databases and forms.
- Proficiency in spoken and written in English and Khmer
- Ability to travel to the field and other countries as per required.
