WWF Cambodia has recently moved the Rattan & Bamboo Project into the Sustainable Forest Program. The program implements Sida and IKEA-funded projects in the Coastal area, including Kampot, Preah Sihanouk, and Koh Kong province, and the Mekong Flooded and Eastern Plain Landscapes. The projects provide small grants to Community-Based Organizations (CBO) and Civil Society Organizations (CSO) for institutional development, community empowerment, and sustainable rattan production. The Project Officer for rattan will report to the Senior Project Officer. He/she will work closely with CSOs and CBOs in the coastal area in providing backstopping for the sub-grant implementation and management and technical support to the CSO and communities on sustainable rattan production and marketing. The Project Officer will coordinate with the local Forestry Administration to support the communities in institutional development, empowerment, and forest protection.
