Tittle: Communications and Social Media Coordinator This position is based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
This is a part-time position that will work closely with the project teams in Cambodia and the International Program Office.
This role focuses on design, writing, and content generation working with the teams in Cambodia and the UK. Direct supervisor will be the Operations and Development Director in the UK. This individual will manage Chab Dai’s and the Global Learning Community (GLC) project’s, communications, social media accounts, drafting, editing, and overseeing all external communication pieces such as newsletters, features, and blogs, as well as editing and updating the organizational website.
Key Responsibilities:
● Design, write, and edit content for external publications such as Chab Dai Newsletters, the GLC Newsletters, Social Media Posts, Blogs, and annual Impact Reports
● Maintain, edit, and update Chab Dai and GLC websites via SquareSpace
● Chab Dai and GLC branding and style oversight
● Develop and implement a Social Media Strategy that reaches Chab Dai and the GLC’s targetaudiences in order to both raise awarenes of human trafficking and to encourage donations. Generate and disseminate social media content, including article shares, graphics, and simple videos to achieve this goal. Manage social media advertising to reach our target audience.
● Manage and update Chab Dai’s photo and video libraries
● Oversee Chab Dai Media Reps from each project to collect photos and videos from their provincial work
● Create annual Partnership Packs for donors with information and media for the projects they sponsor
● Develop and update the GLC community pack and associated documentation, templates etc.
● Act as support for fundraising efforts through creating and publishing design materials
● Coordinate with Chab Dai’s Cambodia office to collect project updates and monthly outcomes for external dissemination
● Manage internal media such as office signs and staff organisational chart with the People & Culture team
Key Attributes:
● Organisational excellence – able to demonstrate strong skills in planning and execution of work processes
● Design eye – the ability to recognize aesthetically pleasing design and notice and incorporate new and different design aspects
● Passion - you will be an advocate for Chab Dai and be able to build excellent relationships at all levels of the organisation and display this in external communication and partnerships
● Communicating in a diplomatic and professional manor
Requirements & Qualifications:
● A Degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, Media (digital) International Development/Relations, or related fields
● Experience working in a similar role within the not-for-profit sector
● Very good technical affinity for media contexts including knowledge of a wide range of multimedia,web and digital tools
● Social Media Skills
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Khmer
● Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize various elements of work
● Diplomatic approach and highly self-motivated with a positive and energetic attitude
