Purpose of the Position:
The Regional Director is responsible for the strategic leadership of the SHE Investments team, including leading the strategic direction and growth of the social enterprise, business development, and successful implementation of impactful programs which support hundreds of women entrepreneurs every year.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, energetic individual passionate about women’s economic empowerment through entrepreneurship in Cambodia, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves a challenge. As well as managing the Cambodia country team and organisation, the Regional Director is expected to look outwards towards the South-East Asia region, representing SHE in regional networks and projects, and building further networks and partnerships across countries.
The Regional Director is expected to have a strong background in social enterprise or international development, strategic leadership, building networks, project management, and business development. Additional experience in the entrepreneurship support industry and SE Asia ecosystem, with a background in gender, will be highly considered.
Duties
The top priority of this role is to manage, and work closely with, the Cambodia Country Manager. The two roles are a close team and share some responsibilities, including overseeing and managing the Cambodia Country Office and team, ensuring strong management systems are upheld, a passionate and skilled team is built, and the team is aligned with SHE’s vision, mission, values and strategic plan. This includes being accountable for the annual budget and cash-flow, major partnerships management, strategy, compliance, and reporting.

Key Performance Indicators:
The Cambodia Country Office has a strong leadership team, confirmed annual budget, and is upholding strong partnerships, projects, and processes across the organisation. This is a shared responsibility between the Regional Director and Cambodia Country Manager.
Successful reach of annual funding targets, enabling secure annual operational budgets
Secured major partnerships with national and international agencies, including local and international governments
Demonstrated clear progress towards SHE’s Strategic Plan goals
Key Selection Criteria
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Demonstrated experience in leadership, building strong networks, and managing key major partnerships
Track record of writing and designing proposals that were successfully funded or commercialised
5 years experience working in a relevant sector (gender, economic development, business & entrepreneurship, etc.)
Demonstrated experience and understanding of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Cambodia and/or the Asia region
Track record in managing complex projects and budgets, ideally USD 400,000 or over
Experience in a business development or similar role
Experience in social enterprise, business, or leadership of a non-profit organisation will be highly considered (though not essential)
High proficiency in English language is a requirement for this role. Women are strongly encouraged to apply.
