Title: Safe Community Team Leader (This position is based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia)

Our team works in provinces across the country, focusing on education and community empowerment. This project raises awareness on the dangers of illegal migration, human trafficking, and sexual abuse through radio, movie and loudspeaker broadcasting programs, and awareness raising trainings for key local authorities and vulnerable community members.  
As Safe Community Team Leader you will lead and manage all project activities. You will conduct assessments to identify and set the target province and communities for the project implementation, implement the work plans prepared and monitor the project progress activities. You will also review the financial reports, prepare reports and note key achievements for donor reports including the story of change and the activity pictures.

Organizational Collaboration
Chab Dai’s work is comprised of four main areas of work, or what we are calling “thematic areas.” These are: Movement Building, Systems Strengthening, Community Empowerment, and Survivor Restoration. Chab Dai encourages communication between and integration across all areas. The ideal candidate for this position will be prepared to work closely with members of all thematic areas and operating support functions, such as Operations, Human Resources, Finance, and Monitoring & Evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Safe Community team members to implement the activities of the project following the annual work plans.
  • Motivate and guide team members to understand their work and responsibilities.  
  • Establish clear work plans on a monthly and quarterly basis for the team and ensure all the plans are implemented and achieved successfully.
  • Work with local authorities to identify the vulnerable target families to work with the project.
  • Build a strong network with local authorities and villagers.
  • Develop good relationships and encourage any stakeholders in the target communities to get involved and support the target families.
  • Record all the required information regarding each target family.
  • Monitor the team performance in implementing the work effectively.
  • Keep track and report clearly and accurately on the progress of activities, achievements, outputs and outcomes and the challenges of the project to the Project Assistant Manager.
  • Listen to the team feedback and resolve any issues or roadblocks.  
  • Prepare budget request and financial voucher for project activities

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Management or any related field.
  • Experience of team management or supervision.
  • A good understanding of the context of human trafficking, sexual abuse and migration.  
  • Monitoring and assessment experience.    
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Good experience in organizing, facilitating and Social Media.
  • A high-performing, collaborative, constructive team member.  
  • Experience in note taking, tracking and reporting.  
  • Good time-management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in both Khmer and English.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft and Google.
