Title: Safe Community Officer (This position is based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia )
This role reports to the Safe Community Team Leader and is a full time post.
Our team works in provinces across the country, focusing on education and community empowerment. This project raises awareness on the dangers of illegal migration, human trafficking, and sexual abuse through radio, movie and loudspeaker broadcasting programs, and awareness raising trainings for key local authorities and vulnerable community members.
As Safe Community officer you will take responsibility for key areas of the project. Together with the Project Team Leader you will identify the vulnerable target communities and families to work with. You will develop clear weekly, monthly and quarterly work plans and monitor the progress of the activities and achievements. You will also share internal monthly reports, summary achievement report and document and file all the important documents of the project safety and securely.
Organizational Collaboration
Chab Dai’s work is comprised of four main areas of work, or what we are calling “thematic areas.” These are: Movement Building, Systems Strengthening, Community Empowerment, and Survivor Restoration. Chab Dai encourages communication between and integration across all areas. The ideal candidate for this position will be prepared to work closely with members of all thematic areas and operating support functions, such as Operations, Human Resources, Finance, and Monitoring & Evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the project team to design and update curriculums, materials, manuals and other resources for project use.
- Communicate regularly and build relationships with families, local authorities, partners and stakeholders.
- Prepare and facilitate the training sessions for project beneficiaries, partners and stakeholders.
- Assume ownership for the administration work of the project.
- Ensure every activity within the target areas are conducted professionally and smoothly.
- Monitor the project beneficiaries in the target areas.
- Support and help project volunteers to use project materials effectively.
- Support other emergency works that are required by the project team/Chab Dai.
- Resolve emergency case work and discuss outcomes with the team leader.
- Prepare budget request and Financial Voucher for project activities
- Prepare activity reports clearly and accurately for the project team and the team leader.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree and certificates related to teaching and training facilitation skills.
- 3 years’ work experience in community-based work.
- Communication, facilitation and coaching skills.
- Confidence to work closely with local authorities.
- Strong administration skills.
- Understand about the context of human trafficking, sexual abuse and migration and basic knowledge on child rights & protection.
- Problem solving and analysis skills.
- IT and computer competence with Microsoft and Google.
- A good understanding of English, both written and spoken.
