Banteay Srei (Citadel of Women) is a registered Cambodian NGO with over twenty years of experience working with poor and poorest vulnerable Cambodian women and communities in rural areas to promote women in political, economic, and social development. Banteay Srei organisation is evolved from the International Women’s Development Agency (IWDA), an Australian NGO, and has become a leading Cambodian NGO in the areas of building women’s leadership in rural areas, strengthening women’s participation in local community development processes, promoting gender equality and women’s rights, and increasing community action on positive gender relations and against genderbased violence in Siem Reap, Battambang. To better leading and overseeing the management, coordination, and supervision of Banteay Srei’s finances, including budget planning management, reviewing financial reports, monitoring accounts, preparing activity reports and finances forecasts. Banteay Srei is seeking highly qualified and dynamic national staff to fill the position of Finance and Admin Manager (full-time). This position is based in Phnom Penh, with travel to Banteay Srei’s target areas at provincial levels when needed. Salary range: From 12,000 USD to 12,500 USD per annum

Qualifications:
Education and Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a related field.
  • Extensive understanding of financial and procurement management theory and practice
  • Demonstrated understanding of principles of partnership formation and management Skills and Experience:
  • A sound understanding of the importance of gender equality, women’s rights, government legislation and related documents/policies/plans
  • You are detail-oriented and organized and have strong skills in math, communication, and analysis.
  • At least five years of experience in financial management and administration
  • At least three years of experience in grant management
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with an ability to think strategically on a wide range of issues internal and external to the organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to write high quality reports that accurately reflect the progress and shortcomings of the organisation, identify areas of improvement, critically reflect on the programs that were implemented and the outcomes delivered
  • Proficiency in verbal and written language skills in English and Khmer
  • Proven ability in extensive supervision, motivation, and leadership of line staff
  • Exceptional familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Email
  • Demonstrates team leadership experience, and leadership and motivational skills Personal Characteristics:

  • You are passionate about gender equality, have a sound understanding of women’s rights and relevant government legislation and policy

  • You are a team player who believes in the mission of the organisation and can perform your obligations in accordance with its core values
  • You are a critical thinker who is proactive, and possess an ability to rise to a challenge
  • You can uphold and build on Banteay Srei’s reputation within the communities in which the organisation operates, the NGO sector, and beyond
