Position: Finance Assistant -- Save the Children International

 

The role

  • Responsible for daily petty cash book and ensure the balance of petty cash count is correct and payment to stakeholders are properly managed
  • Ensure appropriate coding in vouchers and maintaining transactions into the system. Perform reconciliations of all balance accounts and regular cash count.
  • Ensure clear audit trail
  • Maintain finance voucher filing and archive room

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Qualifications and experience

Essential

  • A Bachelor degree in relevant subject from an accredited University.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in a senior position with NGO or INGO;
  • Good team player, able to work closely with support services and program staff;
  • Good in English and Khmer;
  • Proven strong accounting and analytical skills, with good attention to detail;
  • Experience providing administrative support and undertaking procurement;
  • Excellent Microsoft computer skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure, both independently as well as part of the team;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Strong commitment to the organisation and highly motivated person.

Desireable

  • Willing to travel and stay in the provinces to review and support field activities;
  • Willing to work in emergency situation;
  • Ability to work long hours under pressure and to meet deadlines

Contract length: Unspecified Duration Contract (UDC)
