POSITION SUMMARY:
Population Services International (PSI) is the world’s leading social marketing organization, with programs
in over 40 countries. PSI’s mission is to generate measurable health impact by delivering affordable and
accessible health products, services, and information to low-income and vulnerable populations.
With funding support from Pfizer, PSI will implement its program in building knowledge and good practice
among both consumer and healthcare providers in using and prescribing antibiotic in Cambodia.
PSI seeks to hire an independent consultant with significant experience working with organizations, in one (1)
position.
SCOPE OF WORK AND EXSPECTED DELIVERABLE:
The objective of this consultancy is to support the startup phase of the project, build relationship with
relevant agencies of the MoH, collect relevant information as part of the situation analysis and develop
work plan for AMR support in Cambodia.
Scope of Work:
The consultant will review the existing policy and guideline on AMR and produce situational analysis of the
strength and gaps of the current policy and guideline Cambodia.
Key responsibilities:
a. Build working relationship with relevant departments of the MoH,
especially the Communicable Disease Control department
(CDC), AMR Technical Working Group, WHO and other partners working on
AMR.
b. Review all existing policy and guideline on AMR.
c. Collect information on current policy, guideline on AMR, with
additional interview with key informant people from relevant
stakeholders.
d. Review all existing policy and guideline on AMR.
e. Work with PSI Senior Manager for Evidence to summarize and conclude
the finding from both interview and desk review on AMR
in Cambodia.
f. Represent PSI at meetings related to AMR.
g. Facilitate the Advocacy Workshop in collaboration with PSI AMR team and external stakeholders.
Deliverable:
– Report from policy and guideline on AMR review with recommendation
– Work plan for AMR support
Consultancy duration and work base: It will require 40 working days between April 19 and May 30,
2021 based in Phnom Penh. The consultancy is required to use his/her own computer.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED:
EDUCATION:
Medical Doctor or master’s degree in public health/health management and good
analytical and writing skills
EXPERIENCES:
– Minimum 5 years’ experience working in public health or community health.
– Has strong knowledge and experience with Cambodia health system.
– Good relationship with MoH’s department preferred
