Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is recruiting one full time Study Research Nurse to work on clinical research studies at the Clinical Research Group of the Epidemiology and Public Health Unit with a 6 months contract (+ 3 months eventually).
Recruitment conditions:
- Language: Khmer mandatory + English or French
- References required
- Nursing Diploma with at least 2 years’ experience in health facility work, preferably in pediatric ward
- Knowledge about tuberculosis, medical terminology, pediatric care is an asset
- Strong communication skills with the patients as well as with physicians and co-workers
Main responsibilities:
IPC is looking for one nurse based at Takeo Referral Hospital.
He/she will be responsible of the appropriate conduction of the ongoing clinical research studies at the hospital with respect of the study protocol and procedures, following Good Clinical Practices.
He/she will act as liaison between the Clinical Research Group and the team of the Takeo Referral Hospital participating to clinical research.
He/she will be under the supervision of the Study Project Manager and Head of the Clinical Research Group.
He/she will:
- Ensure the compliance with the research protocol
- Identify eligible participants to the study
- Coordinate activities between the hospital departments participating to the study in collaboration with the Hospital Principal Investigator
- Ensure the appropriate conduction of the Informed Consent Process
- Ensure the implementation of nurse techniques required with respect to the study procedures
- Perform training of local staff involved whenever needed;
- Contribute to the collection/management of biological samples and results
- Ensure data collection
- Ensure and lead data entry using tablets and control the quality of the data entry
- Participates to Interviews of parents/children/nurses for acceptability study on sampling procedures
- Communicate with the national coordination study team
- Produce reporting forms as required
Qualifications:
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school required, bachelor of nursing or other science degree preferred;
- Good English or French writing and speaking knowledge;
- Good computer knowledge;
- Good organization and communication skills;
- Available to start from Sept 1st , 2020
