Job Summary:The Training Officer is responsible
in assisting the Training Coordinator in preparing training materials,
facilitating training activities, and providing logistic support to the
training activities of the projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of media training activities of the different projects.
- Assist the Training Coordinator in preparing training materials for training in different projects;
- Assist in the delivery of the trainings such as facilitation and providing logistics support during the training;
- Coordinate with officers and staff of projects which the training activities are part of the said projects; and
- Ensure that training activities are documented and training materials used are recorded and filed.
- Assists in the delivery of journalism training courses in accordance to the project agreement and agreed plans
- Assist the Training Coordinator in preparing training curriculum and materials of the journalism training courses;
- Work with the Training Coordinator in the preparation of the training courses such as invitation and processing of applicants, preparing venue for trainings, facilitating accommodations of training participants, and preparation of logistics;
- Ensure proper documentation of the training courses, safekeeping of training materials used; and
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Training Coordinator related to the training.

- Perform other tasks as maybe required by the direct supervisor or Management Committee upon consultation
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Cambodian national;
- University degree in journalism courses, or relevant training in journalism and media. Master’s degree is an advantage;
- At least, 2 years of experience in developing training materials and delivering training to different groups;
- Good computer literacy and working knowledge on Microsoft software, media production related applications such as graphics, audio and video production.
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills and ability to manage sensitive issues with various stakeholders while motivating others;
- Excellent spoken and written Khmer and English skills;
- Sound understanding of Cambodian context in terms of media independency as well as rights to freedom of expression and access to information;
- Sound understanding of gender and willingness to promote gender equality and women empowerment both within CCIM and through its projects;
- A passionate and energetic team member with a genuine interest in working to develop independent and professional media, promote human rights and democratic governance; and
- Good computer literacy and working knowledge on Microsoft Office, internet-based communications, other related digital applications.
