Job Summary:The Social Media Officer is
responsible for the social media components and other ICT needs of the
projects in the Media Development Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage social media activities of the projects of the department
- Implement and assist project teams in updating and monitoring of social media activities, particularly Facebook pages, of the projects;
- Regularly monitor and record the outputs and outcomes of respective Facebook pages of the projects such as the no. of likes, views, and engagements;
- Assist project teams in designing materials for the Facebook pages; and
- Assist in cross-posting radio and online programs of the projects on CCIM and projects’ Facebook pages and CCIM YouTube channel.
- Assist project teams in designing information materials of the projects.
- Assist in designing artworks for information materials, such as logos, brochures, and other promotional materials used for the projects; and
- Assist in posting these materials on CCIM and projects’ Facebook pages, CCIM website, and other online platforms.
- Update and media monitoring database, MOM website, and CCIM website
- Regularly update media monitoring database in collaboration with Advocacy Coordinator;
- Update MOM website when updated data is available; and
- Post articles and materials of the projects on CCIM website when available.
- Other duties
- Perform other tasks as maybe required by the direct supervisor or head of the department.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Cambodian national;
- Relevant education or training on media, ICT/IT, audio-visual productions, web management, and database;
- Experience in producing graphics, video materials, and other information materials;
- Experience in setting up and management of database;
- At least 1 year working experience in non-government organizations and other civil society groups;
- Ability to communicate effectively with various types of personalities;
- Ability to communicate in spoken and written English language is an advantage;
- Ability to work with teams and can handle different personalities;
- Sound understanding of Cambodian context in terms of human rights, freedom of expression, access to information, and media landscape;
- Sound understanding of gender and willingness to promote gender equality and women empowerment both within CCIM and through its projects; and
- A passionate and energetic team member with a genuine interest in working to develop independent and professional media, promote human rights and democratic governance.
