Job Announcement

Good Neighbors Cambodia (GNC) is the field country office of Good Neighbors International working in 36 countries in the world. GNC is implementing long-term development program focusing on sponsorship, child protection, education, health, WASH, income generation & partnership building and advocacy in 7 Community Development Programs and 1 Social Enterprise in 4 provinces and 1 city of Cambodia. GNC is now working with key sustainability partners and relevant departments of government and NGOs to promote positive impacts for the vulnerable people, especially children. We are inviting motivated and qualified candidates to join our dynamic team for the following position:

IT Officer, 1 position based in Head Office, Phnom Penh
Beside basic salary, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary and other benefits such as 13th month salary, seniority fund, health, life and accident insurance for 24 hour and phone card allowance. Moreover, a working condition comply and benefit with Cambodia Labor Law.

Responsibilities:
Job Summary: Staff in charge needs to ensure the effectiveness, smoothness and up to date of ICT work and communication material development to promote the high impact of GNC’s business and visibility


Website Management
  • Manage and maintain GNC’s website to ensure it is updating and attractive.
  • Control and update contents GNC’s homepage regularly.
  • Integrate and link the GNC’s accomplishment through the project/program operation. both at Head Office and CDPs to the GNC’s web/homepage.
  • Create new contents based on the source given by GNC staff and managements.

Information Technology and Computer Maintenance

  • Develop assessment and projection about the needs of ICT equipment and materials for GNC staff and ICT classes
  • Develop ICT guideline and learning material with implementation to ensure all GNC staff are capable with using and handling ICT work at least at basic level.
  • Manage and maintain information technology equipment and devices (server, network, printer, router…) to ensure it is working smoothly.
  • Provide direction and consultation on purchasing information technology equipment and devices, as well as computers for office works and computer classes.
  • Maintain and repair computers and other devices for both staff computer and computer classes to ensure they are protected and working smoothly.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and field visit to provide IT assistance to all GNC staff
  • Provide capacity building to staff as the basic
  • Direct and indirection support to all staff in term of computer maintenance

Technical Support on Databases and Google Application Management

  • Innovative develop and maintain databases and google management (google drive, email, BAND….) and ensure it is well implementing among staff and keeping up to date.
  • Develop and update needed guideline and instructions, and ensure it is well implementing among GNC staff.
  • Provide capacity building to GNC staff on the use of database and google function.
  • Monitor, provide consultation and technical support to staff to ensure they understand and can comply well with the system (database and google function)
  • Work with DME to monitor and ensure all the required information, data and achievement from Head Office and CDPs uploaded and updated in Database and Google Device

Support and Create Communication Materials

  • Support producing and design communication materials and channel such as backdrop, banner, leaflet, poster, video clip….
  • Support developing training manual and equipping capacity to GNC staff to ensure it is complying well
  • Be a core person to support taking photos and a technician in any events and ensure it is well kept and accessible by staff.
  • Support in writing contents for all GNC’s communication material – website, print, etc., in both Khmer and English as needed.

Network and Partnership Building

  • Be a focal person to build and maintain communication supplier or agency in term of ICT
  • Be a core person to build network with other NGOs, government, private sectors and others relevant institutions for upgrading ICT performance with GNC.
  • Be the representative of GNC to attend external meeting, training, workshop, conferences related to ICT
  • Other tasks assigned by supervisor/department manager.

Requirement

  1. Master or Bachelor degree in IT, Networking or other related fields.
  2. At least 3-year experiences of making homepage, CSS, HTML/XHTML, Java script, PHP, ASP and etc.
  3. Experiences and skills in using design programs - Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, etc.
  4. Knowledge and experiences of basic server management
  5. Good level of English with writing, speaking and listening
  6. Strong commitment and love social works.
  7. Be flexible and a key team player with open-minded.
  8. High commitment, be honest, good personality, team spirit and opening to learn. 
  9. Willing to travel to the provinces, especially the project sites
  10. Be able to work independently
  11. Good communication protocol, creativity, interact with different people, stakeholder and problem-solving skills
