AHC’s Visitor Centre is a central venue to welcome and inform national and international visitors about AHC activities and its position in the Cambodian health sector. The center contains a number of activities that need day-to-day management in order to attract an increasing number of people and (potential) donors such as; an exhibition of AHC activities in the past, the present and the future, merchandising, kids dress-up and photo backdrop area and much more.
The Visitor Centre Officer is a part of the Public Relations – Cambodia team, will report directly to the Visitor Centre Manager, to deliver the great experience about the hospital’s mission and vision to maximize the number of visitors coming through the Visitor Centre daily plus the delivery of the retails offering at the Visitor Centre and outlets.

Main Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for all visitors and, importantly, to make people feel welcome and appreciated.
- Participate in the plan for merchandise sales and coordinate the sales of merchandise in VC, at outlets, and in events as planned to maximize the sales revenues.
- Be responsible for the daily internal operation of the Visitor Centre including maintaining a pleasant environment, visitor information collection, managing day-to-day cashbook, and organizing the space for any special event or meeting in the Visitor Centre as required.
- Be the backup person for the Visitor Centre Manager when necessary.
Requirements
Required Education: Bachelor in Business Administration – major in Management, Marketing, or related field.
Working Experience:
- 1 year in business management, communications, public relations, or related area.
- Work for non-profit organization – especially for health care organization is preferred
Requirement for Skills and Abilities:
- A dynamic personality willing to solve problems and make things work
- Able to communicate professionally in Khmer and English – Japanese or Chinese would be an advantage
- Pro-active, independent, quick thinker, able to problem solve ‘on the go’
- Good feel for our market and target group
- Ability to ‘refresh’ and innovate the offerings in the VC based on feedback of the guests and visitors
- Proven track record in Communications & Marketing; familiar with merchandising and online promotions
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications, Internet, and Email.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Ability to learn new things, work flexible hours, and to travel locally, nationally, and internationally as required.
