The “civil society” has been a sub-sector under the Democracy and Governance sector within the scope of the IPA II to Turkey covering the period between 2014-2020. The budget allocated to the civil society is also increased to approximately 190 million Euros. Within this framework, it is believed that enhancing capacities of civil society organizations (CSOs) will directly support this sector and ultimately contribute to the democratization process of Turkey.
Grant Scheme for Civil Society Support Programme-II is one of these activities, designed to address the capacity development need of CSOs, which is a follow-up Activity of the Civil Society Support Programme – I that composed of two grant schemes, namely “Grant Scheme for Grassroot Civil Society Organisations” and “CSO Partnerships and Networks on Strengthening Cooperation between Public Sector and CSOs Grant Scheme”.
The global objective of this call for proposals is to support the development of civil society through more active democratic participation in policy and decision-making processes.
The specific objective of this call for proposals is to improve the capacity of CSOs for a better civil dialogue, participation and reputation.
