Position: HR Assistant
Location: Battambang, Cambodia
The HR Assistant is a generalist position that is responsible for, or assists with, a variety of HR related administrative tasks including the maintenance and accuracy of employee files, processing staff visas and maintaining accurate leave records. The HR Assistant will also take a lead role in organizing the orientation and induction of all new staff members, and assist the HR team to complete all the department’s administrative requirements.

Key deliverables of the role will include:
- Managing the files of all the employees; keeps them updated with copies of all relevant documents
- Ensuring that staff queries are quickly and accurately addressed, or referred to the appropriate person
- Managing all HR administrative related activities and costs within the appropriate timeframes
- Managing the entire process of visa applications for expatriate staff
- Takes the lead in on-boarding for staff, both expatriate and Cambodian
- Compiling monthly reports as required
- Issues ID cards to new staff
- Undertakes project work as designated by the HR Manager
- Provide assistance to HR staff as required
- Responsible for auditing the HR Database and employee files on a monthly basis, including tracking, maintaining, and updating leave applications and records
Skills and experience required include:
- Previous experience in Human Resources, preferably in a generalist role
- Previous experience on-boarding new employees
- Previous experience of providing advice and assistance to employees
- Good skills with the Microsoft suite of products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- An understanding of recruitment
- Previous experience in processing work visas for expatriate staff
- Very good spoken and written communication skills in English and Khmer
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Good time management skills
- Must have very good interpersonal skills and good negotiation skills
- Must have strong problem solving skills
- Must have the ability to work within a multicultural team
- Must be able to prioritise and manage own workload
