Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) or For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization and founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, was established since 1995 in Cambodia. PSE’s mission is to help the most marginalised and debrided children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well remunerated jobs. PSE has six main programmes adapted to the needs of the children, those programmes include: food, health, protection, education and schooling, vocational training, and helping families. PSE employs more than 600 employees and provides help to more than 6,500 children and 3000 families. We are operating in Phnom Penh, Sihanouk Ville and Siem Reap. We are looking for qualified candidates for the positions below.
Employment Officer (This position is fixed-term contract, based in Phnom Penh)
S/he will responsible to provide supports to project’s trainees after they completed skilled training with PSE to ensure they can find the job. This position requires working closely with NGOs and companies and community to know about the job opportunities for trainees.

Trainees are assisted to identify sources for job vacancies
Trainees are prepared to succeed in job interviews

- To ensure that all vulnerable parents in FLIP project access jobs.
- Secures high quality and sustainable employment of FLIP Trainees
- Career development workshops are developed and delivered to assist trainee to understand their career
- Provide individual counseling along the job seeking process
- Provides effective Data management and follow up support
- Communication and administration
Secures high quality and sustainable employment of FLIP Trainees
High quality resumes and letters of application are produced
Trainees are assisted to identify sources for job vacancies
Trainees are prepared to succeed in job interviews
- Labor conditions are analyzed and clients are placed in employment with best chance of long term success
- Trainees are placed in high quality employment (salary, working conditions, benefits, training)
- Trainees are placed with large and multifunctional employers
- Trainees are placed with a diverse range of quality employers
- The independent job seeking skills of trainees are well developed
- Trainees are assisted to understand the roles and responsibilities of different jobs
- Regular liaison with a wide range of employers is demonstrated
- A wide range of employment options are identified
- Trainees are re-placed in new employment in cases where the initial placement is not (in first 3 month)
- Connect with Company to provide job opportunities for the trainees.
- Career counseling are conducted to each trainees
- Orientation courses are deliver to each trainees
- Career orientations are appropriated ( internal or external invited)
- Organized Board Advisory each training skills by schedule
- Jobs counseling are conducted to each trainees
- Problem counseling are conducted to any problem of trainees
- Effective communication styles to develop trust, confidence and rapport are used.
- Employment contract are made each trainees
- Employment data recorded in data system
- Documents related to trainees keep in file
- Follow up trainees ( With in first week and first month)
- Organized trainees visit related to training skills by schedule
- Be aware about the current job market through Media, Networking with other training schools or job center
- The relationship and communication with partners is regularly maintained
- Relationships and communication with employers is regularly maintained
- Communication with relevant departments in PSE (Social, PRO, Business facilitation, Training , Finance, PSE Institute ...)
- Participate with PSE for any promotional projects and activities
- Provide monthly report to operation manager
Education Background
- Bachelor degree in field of Management, Psychology, and other related fields.
- At least 2 years of professional experience related to the position
- Counseling skills
- Facilitation skill
- Strong personal communication and social networking
- Good experience in Public Speaking is preferable
- Good at planning and execution
- Fluent in English
- Computer literacy Ms. Word, Excel, Ms. Outlook Express, Ms. Power Point
- Respect to PSE’s spirit
- Be dynamic and challenge
- Be able to work under pressure
- Initiative and team work
- Works proactively to resolve conflict
