At MDU you get the knowledge, the tools and the opportunity to create your future. Here you can choose between 1 200 courses and 81 programmes in design and communication, economics, marketing, political science, health, teacher education, classical music and engineering.
All MDU's courses and study programmes are produced in collaboration with the private and public sectors to ensure that you, the student, have the relevant skills on graduating. Collaboration also provides opportunities for real-life projects, placements, trainee positions and network-creating during your period of studies – quite simply unique offers for you as a student. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why as much as 86 percent of all students graduating from the University have jobs within their fields after one year.
Mälardalen University scholarship programme:
Every year Mälardalen University offers a limited number of scholarships to students applying for a Master's programme with us as their first choice.
The scholarship will cover 100% of the tuition fee of the programme as long as you follow the normal study plan (minimum 22.5 credits/semester, minimum 45 credits/academic year). The scholarship does not cover living expenses. If your status from being a fee-paying student to a non-paying student is changed during the study period of the programme you will no longer be granted the scholarship.
First choice:
Please note, if your application for scholarship is to be considered you must have applied for the programme at Mälardalen University your first choice and submitted supporting documentation within deadlines published on www.universityadmissions.seExternal link. . In addition the application fee must have been paid in time.
Carin Larsson Foundation Scholarship 2022:
The Foundation seeks to award scholarships or grants designed to support female students training in science subjects at Mälardalen University.
Who can apply:
Qualifying applicants are female students at MDH within training programmes with a scientific basis (i.e. student of engineering, programmes, bachelor or master programmes in engineering, computer science or programmes for technical mathematics) or teacher training with a focus on science and/or technology. Foreign students are eligible applicants.
Stimulation of further studies in the above areas / programmes may contribute to:
- Study-trip
- Conference participation
- Thesis-study/ training / internship in a place other than the place of study
- Literature or other study aids
- Economic conditions, to be able to focus on studies
- Part of the tuition fees for graduate studies for paying students
- Study abroad
Qualifying applicants are female students at Mälardalen University as stated above.
The application shall include:
- Name and personal number
- Address, email address and telephone number of the applicant (email and phone also used during summer months)
- Study Certificate (including a list of study achievements)
- Description of study situation and how the scholarship would stimulate the candidate's studies. Maximum 2 x A4.
