Acronym of SPSS stands for Statistical Package for Social Science, is a powerful Windows based program that can be used to perform data entry and analysis and to create table and graphs. SPSS is capable of handling large amounts of data and can perform all of the analysis. SPSS is commonly used in the social science and in the business context. Anyways, SPSS is also the most significant part of quantitative research, so familiarity with this program should serve you well in the future.

Learning objectives
By the end of all the courses, students will have enough competence and capacity to analyze descriptive and statistical data analysis by using SPSS software.

• To introduce students to understand the basic concept of statistics and SPSS
• To guide students on how to perform SPSS application effectively
• To train on how to interpret the findings from SPSS application.
• To enable students to gain knowledge in relation to statistics and SPSS application.

Who should attend?
Undergraduate, graduate students, NGO staff, government officials who are interested in understanding and interpreting Statistics and/or has a need to use statistics in research and/or make statistically-informed decisions.

• Descriptive and Frequency Analysis
• Crosstabs and Multiple Response Analysis
• Data Manipulation and Practice 1
• T-test analysis Practice 2
• F –test (ANOVA) and Practice 3    
• Correlation Analysis
• Chi-square Analysis,  Information presentation and interpretation

Duration:     45 hours (Course starts: 9 November 2015)

Time:          5:30-7:00pm or 7-8.30pm on (Mon-Wed-Fri) or (Tue-Thu-Sat)

                   or 8 hours a week on weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
