We continually make decisions and solve problems. Sometimes, we will have made as many as 50 decisions by the time we leave for work. Despite all the natural decision making that goes on and the problem solving we do, some people are very uncomfortable with having to make decisions. In fact you may even know someone who has a hard time making decisions around even their routine activities for example, even something as simple as what to eat, only exasperated by the anxiety experienced when making major decisions at work.This course helps you excel your problem solving and decision making skills; and bring success to the organisation.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Understand the benefits of systematic problem solving and decision making tools
  • Identify the nature of a problem and potential root causes
  • Analyze problems from different angles
  • Analyze potential root causes and solutions
  • Filter, merge and prioritize potential solutions
  • Use creative thinking to develop alternatives
  • Develop and sell potential solutions to influence decision

COURSE CONTENTS
Module 1: Understand what problem is and the nature of a problem
Module 2: 6 steps of problem solving process
Module 3: Identify the problem
Module 4: Analyzing the problem
Module 5: Generating the solution/alternative
Module 6: Determine the solution (Decision Making)
Module 7: Implementing the decision
Module 8: Review the result


TRAINER PROFILE
Mr. Phann Sopheara has 10-year experience of training in a management position, where he has to responsible for various functions that meet the selection criteria including consulting, coaching, recruitment, training, staff compensation and benefit, and labor office relation at Sofitel, Raffles & Naga World. Sopheara has also worked to create the Training Policy and Procedure (P&P) and revise the internal rules for Group Human Resources Department. He has also worked to put together annual training plans and various programs to address to staff members’ concerns as far as possible. In addition to this, he has communicated the new performance management system to staff at executive and supervisor level. Sopheara has also worked to ensure that HR practices in the various departments are in compliance with Corporate HR guidelines and Cambodian Labor Law. He has managed and coordinated the training courses and workshops for all staff. On top of that, he did engage external trainers or merely obtain their professionals’ opinions and tips so that he could keep up with developments in training styles, techniques and resources to ensure appropriate and effective delivery.
