World Vision is an international Christians Humanitarian Organization working with the poor and oppressed to promote human transformation and seek justice. Our Cambodia Office is seeking for (02) two qualified Cambodian national to fill vacant position of:

Position:                                 Media Officer

Location:                                Phnom Penh

Salary & Benefit Package:    USD 688 – USD 860 per month dependent on your experience & qualifications

I. THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
As the senior media representative, the Media Officer creates new opportunities for the public to engage with World Vision and for World Vision to influence public opinion on development issues, by building reputation and relationships with local and international media based in Cambodia and by creating engaging online and social media environments for people to interact with World Vision.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop media strategy
2. Build mass media relationships
3. Analyse and monitor daily news
4. Manage media crises
5. Build capacity for media engagement across the organisation
6. Manage and host media visits to World Vision projects
7. Create compelling online and social media environments
8. Emergency media and communications

III. REQUIREMENTS:

1. Advanced Degree in Communications, Media, or Journalism, or bachelor degree with more experience
2. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills (Khmer and English)
3. 5 years’ experience in relevant field; journalism, media, social media, communications
4. Understanding of, and passion for, humanitarian and development work and social media
5. Capacity to translate and interpret
6. Excellent press release, media advisory, spokesperson and story writing skills
7. Experience with social media, basic video, photo, design and mobile apps
8. Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritise
9. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
