Partnerships Project under Khon Kaen University Center for Civil Society
and Nonprofit Management (CSNM) is seeking a qualified vendor to
facilitate a two and half day regional workshop title Lower Mekong
Sub-region workshop for CSO leaders and curriculum development experts.
The two and half day workshop will be held during mid-August 2015 at
Khon Kaen province with estimation of 25 LMS national participants who
are expert on training and curriculum development in the region.
Summary: Effectiveness and efficiency
of capacity to deliver effective outputs to constituent citizens become
one of key challenges for CSOs in LMS. Most of CSOs in this region have
very strong capacity on technical aspect of their work. They have
in-dept information on issues they have advocated for, however, they are
still lacking of innovative approach to mobilize their constituent of
government oversight activities. It is also true among service provided
CSOs and consultants. Most CSOs who provide service on capacity building
are still using conventional approach to deliver their knowledge. In
contrast, new generation and most of business sectors are looking for
new and innovative approach in order to reach wider audience and having
more impact on the activity they invest. Social media, online
information such as Facebook, twitter, mobile App, mobile website,
E-learning have been used to expand capacity to be able to reach mass of
people.
The workshop Lower Mekong Sub-region
workshop for CSO leaders and curriculum development experts will help
participants to learn how to adapt and expand their training and
curriculum development knowledge by using innovative methods such as ICT
and other new technologies. The workshop will use Human-Centered Design
combine with a Design Thinking approach.
Outcomes: The workshop will be designed and conducted to achieve the following key learning outcomes:
1) participants are knowledgeable on
innovative approach and having ideas to implement into their work; 2)
participants have general understanding on Human-Centered Design and
Design Thinking approach as a tool for them when design training
curriculum; 3) CSPP has strong connection with participants and develop
work plan and timeline for coming activities
The workshop facilitated organization
will work closely with CSPP to identify agenda and workshop approach to
make sure all the outcomes have achieved.
Participants: 25 LMS nationalities
(Thai, Laos PDR, Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia) who are expert on CSO
capacity building, training and curriculum development

Tentative agenda:
Day 1
- Introduction of the participant (group activity)
- Introduction of the workshop, Expectation,
- CSNM/CSPP background presentation
- Understanding of innovation – What / How people use innovations in different way.
- Human-Centered Design workshop (whole afternoon session)
Day 2
Human-Centered Design Workshop (all day long)
How to integrate Human-Centered design into the innovation design tools for CSOs
Day 3
CSPP and participants group working on curriculum developing plan and timeline (morning session only)

- CVs of the consultant(s) who will carry out the work

- a detailed proposed budget to conduct this workshop
