Accounting Manager -- PSE

Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE)  is a non-profit organization, established in Cambodia in 1995, working to provide food, shelter, medical care, general education and vocational training to children needing support, e.g. underprivileged children; maltreated children; children living in poverty and children without any formal education. PSE has more than 600 employees and provides help to more than 6,500 children in Phnom Penh, Preah Sihanouk and Siem Reap. PSE is seeking competitive and capable candidates to fill 01 positions of Accounting Manager (Full-Time) based in Phnom Penh.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and control all accounting operations and cash flows in PSE.
  • Develop and maintain effective financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control.
  • Manage the inventories of the Finance Department.
  • Monitor and control the accounting transactions of PSE’s related projects with project leaders to ensure that they comply with the accounting policy and procedures.
  • Check and verify payroll to ensure that it is done in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Establish cash flow projections and update them every month.
  • Prepare accounting reports for board of directors, donors, sponsors, and other relevant authorities upon their requests.
  • Prepare tax correctly in compliance with the tax requirements.
  • Manage and archive all accounting and tax documents properly and confidentially in compliance with PSE accounting policies.
  • Participate in creating and reinforcing accounting procedures to ensure the high quality of accounting management.
  • Ensure that all required information and documents are well-prepared and available for auditing to avoid faults.
  • Prepare monthly and yearly financial statements.
  • Lead and develop accounting team to achieve objectives effectively.
  • Perform other duties assigned by manager.
Job Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with at least 3 years in accounting management
  • Good English and French proficiency
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good management and leadership
  • Ability to cope with problems
  • Honest, rigorous, well-organized and dynamic
  • Demonstration of high reliability in keeping privacy and confidentiality
  • IT literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet & E-mail)
