Soft Skill Trainer -- PSE

Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) is a non-profit organization, established at the end of 1995 in Cambodia, working to provide food, shelter, medical care, general education and vocational training to children needing support, e.g. underprivileged children; maltreated children; children living in poverty and children without any formal education in Phnom Penh, Preahsihanouk and Siem Reap. Currently PSE is providing help to more than 6,500 children, supporting around 3,000 children in public schools, 1,500 in the remedial education program, and 1,500 in the vocational training program. Around 500 children benefit from specific educational programs: classes for children with disability, day-care centers, infant welfare, etc. PSE employs more than 600 dedicated staff. Due to rapid growth of existing and new programs, PSE is seeking candidates to fill the position of Soft Skill Trainer based in Phnom Penh.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Organize practice rotation schedule of trainees in the area of their practice to ensure that every trainee can join all the practical activities;
  • Daily check trainee's performance during practice according the check-up form provided by theory;
  • Be responsible for trainee's overall well-being and help in correcting their discipline, attitude, behavior and morality during the practical hour and whole training period;
  • Assign a rotation team leaders among trainees and train them how to supervise others or supervise themselves in case of your absence;
  • Make field visit to support partnered NGO in the community;
  • Join class council to evaluate trainee's study process and to deal with discipline issue;
  • Attend a regular team meeting with trainers and related stakeholders for any issue related to training and trainee's development;
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with related stakeholders to ensure the soft skill training done in appropriate manner;
  • Do monthly report and perform other tasks as required.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree of Management, Sociology or other related fields;
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in related field;
  • Be able to communicate in English; French is a plus;
  • IT literate (Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, PowerPoint…);
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Have a strong interest to work with community people;
  • Patient, dynamic, flexible and team building;
  • Respect and support PSE’s values and mission.
