Wow, hard to believe that we half-way through our school year 2014/2015
already here at Raffles Montessori School of Phnom Penh! It’s been a
great six months so far filled with educational visits, charity, crafts
and a very merry Christmas party.
From Term Three onwards we will have some new, exciting After School Clubs available. Our teachers running these are professionals in their field and eager to share their knowledge and expertise with your children so they can learn and grow even more during these important early years. Speaking of growth, RMISPP is growing too with two new classes opening next semester! We welcome new staff, students and parents who will join the Montessori Method of creating independent, self-fulfilled individuals with a solid foundation in academics.
Thanks also to our current parents for their continued support. We at RMISPP know how important your child is to you. May your belief in our team and the Montessori system keep our students smiling, discovering and learning!
The Montessori curriculum is an integrated one. All aspects of a child’s learning are presented as part of an inter-related whole. Each activity performed by a child using approved Montessori materials is an indirect preparation for a later skill and the environment allows learning through discovery of new and exciting things in the materials that the child works with over his/her developing stages. As an aid to the child’s self-construction, individual work is encouraged.
The following 5 areas of activities in the Montessori curriculum cultivate children’s ability to express themselves and think with clarity. 1)-Practical Life Activities, 2)-Sensorial Activities, 3)-Language & Literacy, 4)-Mathematics and 5)-Geography, Arts, Music, Culture...
Our 3-Year Programme: 1)-Pre-Kindergarten: age 2.5 - 3 years old, 2)Kindergarten 1: ages 3 - 4 years old- and 3)-Kindergarten 2: ages 4 - 6 years old.
Enrolment for new term is now open! Term 4, 2015 starts 30 March 2015
