Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) is a non-profit organization, established at the end of 1995 in Cambodia, working to provide food, shelter, medical care, general education and vocational training to children needing support, e.g. underprivileged children; maltreated children; children living in poverty and children without any formal education in Phnom Penh, Preahsihanouk and Siem Reap. Currently PSE is providing help to more than 6,500 children, supporting around 3,000 children in public schools, 1,500 in the remedial education program, and 1,500 in the vocational training program. Around 500 children benefit from specific educational programs: classes for children with disability, day-care centers, infant welfare, etc. PSE employs more than 600 dedicated staff. Due to rapid growth of existing and new programs, PSE is seeking candidates to fill the position of Community Service Center Supervisor based in Phnom Penh.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of kindergarten and extracurricular activities in community center;
- Develop effective academic programs for kindergarten and extracurricular activities in the community center;
- Ensure that all kids and youths in the community center are in a safe condition during their time joining the activities in the center;
- Provide consulting and support to the community families;
- Develop and provide an effective orientation session about PSE and its programs to the community;
- Control the quality and quantity of food;
- Prepare and control budget;
- Establish partnerships with other NGOs and similar organizations;
- Build and maintain good relations with local authorities, school directors, community family as well as village kids and adults;
- Perform other duties assigned by manager.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Rural Development, Education, Management or other related fields;
- Minimum one year of related work experience;
- Ability to communicate in English (French is a plus);
- Computer literate;
- Strong facilitation skill;
- Ability to solve problems;
- Creative, initiative, problem solving, and team player;
- Self-motivated and patient;
- Respect and support PSE’s values and mission.
