JOB OPPORTUNITY

“TeukSaat 1001” is a Cambodian non-governmental organization created as an offshoot of safe drinking water supply project in rural area in partnership with the French NGO “1001 fontaines pour demain”. The first stage of the initiative started in 2005, in North West Cambodia, and has achieved to date the implementation of 50 operating sites in Battambang, BanteayMeanchey and Siem Reap provinces. These sites provide moe than 50,000 people daily with safe drinking water. “TeukSaat 1001” is committed to act as a service platform for all production sites of safe water and as a project  to set-up new safe water production sites

The mission of “TeukSaat 1001” is to implement sustainable improvement in the health of people living in isolated communities. The proposed objective of our non-profit association is to empower rural communities by enabling them to produce and guarantee quality of drinking water at an affordable price, based on a social enterprise business model, which ensures that they are self-sufficient and reach the largest number of beneficiaries. Teuk Saat 1001  is currently looking for qualified and motivated Cambodian candidate to fulfill in various positions as below:

Technical Officer (Volunteer 01 position)

• Based in Battambnag, frequent on field travels in rural villages.
• Start in February, 2015
• Full time
• Duration: 06 months and can be promoted to regular staff)
• Benefit package: Salary, per diem transportation and getting knowledge, skills and ability of water treatment process.

Duties

• Install electrical system/solar system
• Install water storage and water pipe system
• Install the machine of safe - drinking water production
• Ensure technically new site installation.
• Manage materials and tools of new site installation
• Prepare and send the report to technical manager and platform manager

Requirements

• At least BST or year 3 students in electric engineering.
• Water pipe installation skills
• Good communication and team working skills.
• Be strong motivation and commitment to travel to project sites in rural communities
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Strong interest in working for an NGO
• Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel,
