Founded in 1965 as a college of Commerce, TIU has grown into a private university with five schools and four graduate schools. Staying consistently true to its educational philosophy of “nurturing truly international minded people,” TIU has expanded practice-oriented international education. TIU boasts a highly international learning environment: of TIU’s approximately 6000 students, nearly 700 are international students from over 30 countries around the world.

Requirement 1: Educational Background
- Applicants MUST have completed, or be scheduled to complete ONE of the following criteria before the enrollment date.
- Applicants must have completed, or be expected to complete, a standard 12-year education from a recognized education system.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, and have obtained one of the following qualifications.
a. International Baccalaureate (awarded by the International Baccalaureate Organization)
b. Abitur (issued by Federal Republic of Germany for college entrance)
c. Baccalaureate Diploma (issued by the French Republic for college entrance)

- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, and have completed or be expected to complete their studies at Japanese pre-university preparatory schools outside Japan or at Japanese secondary schools.

Note:
- English tests must have been taken within two year prior to the application period.
- Students who have received formal education in English for at least 3 years within 5 years from the application time do not need to submit an English test score. In this case, documentary evidence is required as a substitute.

Tuition and Fees: Annual Tuition and Fees:
- 1st Year JPY1,340,000(including Enrollment Fee:JPY250,000)
- 2nd Year and after JPY1,090,000 (First Semester: JPY580, 000 / Second Semester: JPY510, 000)
