COURSE OBJECTIVES

This is a high impact, high intensity competency based train the trainer course designed for trainers that wants to hit the ground running as soon as possible. Participants learn about the learning needs of adults, facilitating and developing different types of competency training, delivering and assessing the success of the training.

COURSE CONTENTS
Module 1: Interpret Adult Learning Theories and Principles
  • Differentiate Andragogy from Pedagogy
  • Determine appropriate instructional methods for different types of adult learners
  • Identify and overcome barriers to adult learning
  • Motivate adults to learn
  • Maximize retention in adult learners
  • Apply adult learning concepts and theories
Module 2: Address Different Learning Styles/Preferences and Cultural Differences
  • Identify appropriate learning strategies for specific learning styles
  • Determine appropriate techniques to identify individual adult learner needs
  • Describe how learning styles/preferences impact learning delivery
  • Use appropriate training strategies to accommodate culturally diverse learners
Module 3: Address Ethical Issues Relating to Training
  • Use suitable approaches to fulfill the roles of a trainer
  • Use suitable approaches to fulfill the moral obligations and responsibilities of a trainer
  • Identify ethical issues in training practice
  • Apply appropriate strategies in resolving ethical dilemmas in training
  • Apply ethical decision making practices in training
Module 4. Review Learners’ Profile and Adjust Training Programme to Meet Their Needs
  • Review learners’ profile using information provided
  • Preview the training programme and determine if learners can achieve the learning outcomes
  • Adjust the training programme to match the needs and characteristics of learners
Module 5: Prepare Resources Needed for Training Delivery
  • Ensure training resources, facilities and environment are appropriate and safe for training delivery based on the relevant logistic checklists
  • Ensure seating arrangement is suitable for learner needs, nature and type of learning activities and instructional methods
  • Develop contingency plan for the training session
Module 6: Create and Maintain a Conducive Learning Environment
  • Establish rapport with learners through appropriate communication and interpersonal skills
  • Use introductory activities to build a positive learning environment among learners
  • Identify and reduce barriers to learning
  • Manage disruptive learner behaviors effectively
  • Manage cultural sensitivities appropriately
Module 7:  Facilitate Learning through Effective Instructional Skills and Strategies
  • Communicate clearly to learners the learning outcomes of the
  • training programme
  • Use effective presentation skills to deliver content of training programme in a manner that is able to capture learners’ attention, stimulate interest and maximise learning
  • Conduct case study effectively to enable learners to apply what they have been taught
  • Conduct role play effectively to enable learners to apply the skills that they have been taught
  • Facilitate group discussion effectively to provide learners the opportunity to apply and share the knowledge relevant to the training programme
  • Reinforce learning outcomes at appropriate times
  • Manage time effectively to ensure learning outcomes are met
Module 8.  Monitor Learners’ Progress and Adjust Training Programme
  • Assess learners’ progress using appropriate methods
  • Provide timely feedback on learners’ progress
  • Make adjustments to training programme in response to learners’ progress
  • Review with learners’ opportunities to transfer learning to the workplace
Module 9. Review Post-Course Evaluation
  • Conduct post-course evaluation using appropriate means to gather feedback
  • Review training programme to determine if learners’ needs and organizational objectives are met
  • Review feedback to identify potential areas of improvement
TRAINER’S PROFILE
http://edi-cambodia.orgMr Isa’s 30 years of experiences have allowed him to lead and manage programs and workshops involving leadership management, team dynamics, organizational changes, train the trainer, customer service and change management. He has lead or worked on programs covering the formation and maintenance of high performing teams, workplace communication, Customer Relationship Management and interpersonal skills development. Being a corporate entrepreneur as the Executive Director of a Training and Consultancy company has enriched his business and strategic views about the global business expectations and challenges today.

In addition, he has designed, adapted or delivered a wide range of professional and technical skill programs using the disciplines of learning organization.

He has trained the Delegate Liaison Officers accompanying the Finance Ministers for the IMF and World Bank meeting in Singapore in 2006 in areas of Service Excellence, Cultural Diversity and Conflict Management.

  • Certified in Hypnotherapy and Time Line Therapy with the American Board of NLP and Hypnotherapy.;
  • Master Trainer for the Advance Certification in Training and Assessment for Competency Based Training and Assessment;
  • Certified in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) by Steve Wells from Australia .
