Good Neighbors International (GNI) is an international humanitarian and development NGO. GNI has made great strides in its mission by providing people around the world with a better quality of life. Good Neighbors Cambodia (GNC) is the field country project that has been implementing its projects in Cambodia since 2002. GNC is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

Training and Development Officer [1 position based in Head Office, Phnom Penh]

Job description:
  • Identifying training and development needs for GNC staffs.
  • Designing staff capacity building program and coordinating GNC’s learning events.
  • Developing training modules/sessions of training identification.
  • Facilitating training and processes that develop and refine community empowering tools, toolkit, and guidelines that are integrated into Community Development Project (CDP) processes.
  • Supporting the learning culture within GNC that values and disseminates learning from the field or other sources of best practices/ lessons learnt.
  • Facilitating and coordinating best practices, case studies, most significant changes and other learning events for website updates.
  • Amending and revising programs as necessary in order to adapt to changes occurring in the Community Development Project.
  • Conducting field coaching support after staff training provided.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers.
  • Evaluating training and development programs.
  • Assisting Operation Department Manager to consolidate monthly report, quarterly report and review semi-annual/annual reports and annual review.
  • Other tasks assigned by the line manager.

  • Bachelor degree of development management or related fields
  • At least 2-year experience in facilitating training and working in a field site.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, analytical and coaching skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skill, and ability to work closely and supportively within a team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of development theory, transformational development, community-based-development models, approaches and issues.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Khmer
  • Excellent computer and typing skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
