Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) is a non-profit organization, established at the end of 1995 in Cambodia, working to provide food, shelter, medical care, general education and vocational training to children needing support, e.g. underprivileged children; maltreated children; children living in poverty and children without any formal education in Phnom Penh, Preahsihanouk and Siem Reap. Currently PSE is providing help to more than 6,500 children, supporting around 3,000 children in public schools, 1,500 in the remedial education program, and 1,500 in the vocational training program. Around 500 children benefit from specific educational programs: classes for children with disability, day-care centers, infant welfare, etc. PSE employs more than 600 dedicated staff. Due to rapid growth of existing and new programs, PSE is seeking candidates to fill the position of IT Instructor (Part-time) based in Phnom Penh

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach IT subjects such as Algorithm, IT network, C++ and Logics based on teaching plan.
• Prepare test for student’s exam as well as manage their scoring and attendance record.
• Arrange class council every semester with other teachers to discuss about students’ problems.
• Work closely with Pedagogic Coordinator to write or update Competency Standard and Competency Base Curriculum for IT training program.
• Update modules of study to adapt to the demand of job market.
• Strengthen English course in communication approach.
• Recruit the students based on the criteria of PSE by working closely with related departments.
• Conduct student assessment and counseling regularly.
• Ensure good conduct and discipline of students in the program.
• Consult and follow up with students when they have social or professional problem.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree in IT, Engineering or other related fields.
• 2 years of experience in teaching or working in IT field.
• Specialize in Algorithm, C++ Program and/or IT Networking.
• Able to teach at least 6 hours per week between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
• High level of English and Khmer communication (both verbal and written skills).
