Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) is a non-profit organization, established at the end of 1995 in Cambodia, working to provide food, shelter, medical care, general education and vocational training to children needing support, e.g. underprivileged children; maltreated children; children living in poverty and children without any formal education in Phnom Penh, Preahsihanouk and Siem Reap. Currently PSE is providing help to more than 6,500 children, supporting around 3,000 children in public schools, 1,500 in the remedial education program, and 1,500 in the vocational training program. Around 500 children benefit from specific educational programs: classes for children with disability, day-care centers, infant welfare, etc. PSE employs more than 600 dedicated staff. Due to rapid growth of existing and new programs, PSE is seeking candidates to fill the position of Dentist based in Phnom Penh.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide mobile dental services to at least 15 - 20 children per day
• Discuss with Doctor or transfer the patients to partnered hospital of PSE in case of server tooth treatment
• Provide fluoride twice a year
• Schedule and provide dental health presentation/ education to PSE children
• Collect and record patient health history
• Keep and control dental materials and medicines in a good manner
• Prepare weekly and monthly action plan to accomplish
• Write a report for manager

Job Requirements

• Doctor of dental surgery or other related degrees
• Minimum two year professional experiences in dentistry
• Able to travel as mobile dental service around target places in Phnom Penh
• Strong ability of dental restoration, dental prevention and dental diagnosis/ treatment
• Strong motivation to work with vulnerable children
• Be able to communicate in English and/or French
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Thorough, friendly and patient
• Good ethical and confidential principle
• Computer literate (Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, Ms. PowerPoint, and Internet & E-mail)
• Respect and support PSE’s values and mission
