Community Development Facilitator [1 full-time position based in Cheung Aek Community Development Project (CDP), Phnom Penh]
Job description:
- Primary responsibility in managing all health programs at Choeng Aek Ural Community Development Project
- Program development and planning, peer reviewer and applicant relations,
- Serves as the primary liaison to the program evaluation working group, maintaining expertise and contributing to innovation in research evaluation.
- Solve problems frequently requiring analysis of unique issues/problems without precedent and/or structure. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy.
- Work in cooperation with all health relevant staffs such as GNC, Health Post, Health Center, Referral Hospital and other National Hospitals in Phnom Penh that have agreement with the Organization for Child Health Insurance (CHI) or other health programs
- Spread up-to-date information to community people about how to take care of health
- Be highly responsible for three main sources of work. (1) Coordinate or manage Health Post Program. (2) Facilitate or run Child Health Support (CHS). (3) Manage budget related to health program and make clear report to submit to Community Development Project (CDP) Manager
- Attend monthly meeting required by Phnom Penh Municipal Department of Health and report to CDP Manager about the meeting result
- Coordinate with Health Post Staff to prepare checklist in advance of all necessary materials or medicines to be purchased for use at the post
- Monthly check all medical equipment installed at the post to verify all purchased materials are available at the post.
- If any problem happens—unacceptable manner of Health Post staff to community people, etc.—, must report or discuss with CA CDP Manager immediately to look for solution in order to solve the issue before it extends more serious.
- Set up training topics before conducting health awareness campaigns and make reports after those events are completed.
- Manage schedules for visitors, who are Cambodians, Koreans or others who want to see the program operation assigned by GNC management team.
- Update all health care information and health program activities by making clear reports and put them in the good order, which is easy to be accessed. Besides, PowerPoint is very necessary for visitor internal and external presentation.
- Keep the deadline of any report required by GNC, especially monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual report, which is related to health program.
- Do other tasks required by GNC.
Requirement
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science or Health Science with exposure to implementing programs in Health Insurance
- A minimum of three years’ experience in preventive and behavior change program.
- Knowledge of Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS, STI, Drug use and Gender.
- Having a good communication skill and willing to work hard
- Experience in project management in health sectors
- Be strong at reporting both Khmer and English.
- Facilitation skill in a high standard of ethical manner
- Good computer skills in MS Word, Excel & Power-point
