Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) is a non-profit organization, established at the end of 1995 in Cambodia, working to provide food, shelter, medical care, general education and vocational training to children needing support, e.g. underprivileged children; maltreated children; children living in poverty and children without any formal education in Phnom Penh, Preahsihanouk and Siem Reap. Currently PSE is providing help to more than 6,500 children, supporting around 3,000 children in public schools, 1,500 in the remedial education program, and 1,500 in the vocational training program. Around 500 children benefit from specific educational programs: classes for children with disability, day-care centers, infant welfare, etc. PSE employs more than 600 dedicated staff. Due to rapid growth of existing and new programs, PSE is seeking candidates to fill the position of Career Guidance and Orientation Officer based in Phnom Penh.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with school deans, managers and related stakeholders to get accurate information about skill requirements and other necessary information to manage effective internal skills presentation to the target students.
- Consult students on the suitable studies base on their talent, preference, and aptitude.
- Update orientation questionnaire which is suitable for the target students and for the up to date of PSEI new study system.
- Develop effective and efficient tools which are good for orientation information control as well as orientation tools which are useful for active orientation process and skill consultation.
- Create and update the information story tools to control student information for the entire academic year.
- Manage and develop conference, visit and orientation planning for the whole term and year.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Education, Sociology Studies or other related files
- Pedagogy certificate is a plus
- At least 1 year of working experience in inventory, counseling, managing, planning or other functions related to the position
- Experience working with vulnerable children is a plus
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-organized, flexible, patient and dynamic
- Computer literate (Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, Ms. PowerPoint, and Internet & E-mail)
