Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) is a non-profit organization, established at the end of 1995 in Cambodia, working to provide food, shelter, medical care, general education and vocational training to children needing support, e.g. underprivileged children; maltreated children; children living in poverty and children without any formal education in Phnom Penh, Preah Sihanouk and Siem Reap. Currently PSE is providing help to more than 6,500 children, supporting around 3,000 children in public schools, 1,500 in the remedial education program, and 1,500 in the vocational training program. Around 500 children benefit from specific educational programs: classes for children with disability, day-care centers, infant welfare, etc. PSE employs more than 600 dedicated staff. Due to rapid growth of existing and new programs, PSE is seeking competitive and capable candidates to fill various positions of:Smile Construction Service Manager
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Be responsible for developing, managing and implementing for the whole Smile Construction Service (SCS) comprising of plumbing training, painting training, masonry training and electricity training to operate smoothly
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of SCS including staff management, staff performance, staff capacity building, quality of education, budget management, school discipline and regulation, internal and external communications, student and staff recruitment, and vocational training course curriculum
- Monitor and evaluate the training program and quality by organizing workshops, meetings, and site visits to identify the opportunity for improvements or changes for both academics and management
- Ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety are enforced as well as maintain good construction standards and quality control
- Ensure that all staff in SCS have clear job descriptions
- Create communication tools to promote SCS and extend its stakeholders
- Handle all problems and issues within SCS in effective and efficient manner
- Write a work progress report and monthly balance score card to manager
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Rural Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Other Related Fields
- 3 year experiences in construction field and project management
- Demonstrate a strong capacity of leadership and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and presentation both verbal and written
- Good command of English (French is an advantage)
- Excellent computer Microsoft Office and able to use AutoCAD
- High sense of responsibilities with a spirit of team work building
- Experience in vocational training or education is a plus
