About the role
Christian
Aid is planning to scale up its operations in Myanmar, in response to
the current context and aims to work to eradicate poverty by
strengthening civil society, the development of resilient and
sustainable livelihoods and access to quality health services for all.
This is the first time that Christian Aid is recruiting a Country
Manager in Myanmar and is therefore seeking a dynamic individual to
bring strategic leadership and enable the country team to achieve high
impact in our programmes and develop innovative partnerships across
sectors. With partnership at the heart of the new corporate strategy,
the post-holder will lead an innovative programme that involves key
partnerships with local civil society organisations, private sector
entities, other international NGOs, Government and donor agencies
About you
Essential:
Substantial experience of international development work at a senior
level; experience of leading and managing teams in different cultural
settings; experience of managing partnerships with civil society
organizations and donors; significant programme delivery experience;
experience of fundraising from institutional donors as well as
experience in security management.
Preferred:
Experience of managing partnerships across the various sectors;
experience of leading organizational change processes; experience of
humanitarian and emergency assistance
