The
Communicating with Disaster Affected Communities (CDAC) Network is a
unique collaboration between humanitarian and media development
organisations and technology providers. CDAC Network members are
committed to integrating two way communication approaches into
resilience building, emergency preparedness and response and to strengthening local level capacity in communicating with communities. World Vision is managing the DFID Disaster and Emergencies Preparedness Programme (DEPP) grant on behalf of the CDAC network.
- Operating as a Grants Compliance Officer within our Humanitarian and REsilance Team reporting to the Programme Manager, you will, take the lead on all aspects of grant contract management, finance and compliance on the DFID CDAC grant.
- This means ensuring standards are understood and adhered to by colleagues within World Vision UK, WVUK National Offices and by external sub-grantees
- Translating your expertise in financial processes and reporting, procurement/grant applications, donor and complex contractual requirements, audits, financial and risk management will be a crucial deliverable for the Grants Compliance Officer.
- Along with, building strategic and supportive relationships with key stakeholdersto achieve the optimum standards of financial management and accountability.
Role essentials:
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage complex grants in multiple locations from a broad range of donors.
Ability to drafting and reviewing contracts
Experience in reviewing budgets and financial reports
Tested experience in building financial capacity of partners
Analytical expertise in conveying complex donor regulations to stakeholders will be key.
Strong communication and relational skills to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of resources are maximized.
You
will also be expected to promote a culture of excellence to ensure
WVUK’s core values and principles are widely communicated.
Willingness
to travel internationally is an essential part of the role, typically 3
or 4 times per year including to fragile states
