Malaria Vector Control Program

The USAID Global Health Bureau, Office of Health, Infectious Diseases and Nutrition is issuing this Request for Applications (RFA) in the anticipation of awarding a single cooperative agreement (CA) to build and expand upon USAID’s prior malaria prevention efforts over the past 15 years.

This RFA is intended to support countries in meeting the goal and the three objectives introduced above and discussed in detail in this sub-section. USAID expects that the successful Applicant
will design effective approaches to address these critically important and interrelated objectives.Each objective will require different funding amounts and levels of effort to be successfully implemented. This RFA assumes that the objectives are listed in ascending order in terms of both expected funding levels as well as in the total level of effort that will be needed to achieve each objective

To be eligible for award of the cooperative agreement under this RFA, an organization must:
  • Be US organizations or non-US organizations registered and working in developing countries;
  • Have material, technical, and institutional capacities to achieve the results outlined in this RFA, including financial systems;
  • Have the capacity and experience to collaborate with host-country governments, nongovernmental institutions, other donors and other organizations/groups.
USAID encourages applications from organizations which have not previously done business with USAID. Faith-based and community organizations are eligible to apply.
