Background
|
One of the most
important knowledge that each HR practitioner in Cambodian shall posses and
be able to apply to their work is the practical knowledge of Cambodian labor
law. Such knowledge will help each HR person to help their company or
organization avoid or minimize legal risk of non-compliance or/and disruptive
employment and industrial relations. In other words, with these knowledge and
skill the HR person could handle labor issues efficiently and justly.

Objective
|
To provide
participating HR practitioners with practical knowledge and key requirements
of Cambodia labor law regarding labor registration, employee hiring and
contracting, proper causes for termination, wages and other benefits, leaves
and public holidays, union rights and labor disputes prevention and
resolution process.
To provide
participants with practical recommendation on common labor issues, labor
disputes, and work-place negotiation tips and provide participants with rear
opportunity to discuss their burning questions about labor law with
experienced labor law specialist.

Training Fee
|
Training Fee is
120.00 USD per course. Early registration for this course before April 21,
2014 (at 5:00 pm), will be entitled to 20% discount. This fee is inclusive of
4 snacks, 2 lunch, and course materials.

Training
Methodology
|
This training will
be delivered in Khmer language with Art-of-Sharing and Participant-Centered
approach, which will unlock participants’ potential to obtain practical
knowledge of the Cambodian Labor Law and productive labor practice.
Trainer-leaded discussion will also be used to help the participants to
exercise and reflect their knowledge and skills.

Profile
|
Mr. NHEAN SoMunin, Labor Law &
IR Practice Group Leader/Senior Legal Advisor of HBS Law, and Labor &
Commercial Arbitrator. Munin has more
than 15 years of professional experience in the field of labor relations,
collective and individual labor dispute resolutions (ADR), and labor law
training.
He is a co-author
of “EMPLOYMENT IN CAMBODIA: A Legal & Practical Guidebook” published in
February 2014 by CBD Partner & Consultancy. Also he is the key author of
“Employment Contract and Labor Registration Practical Guide, for Private
Companies and NGOs Operating in Cambodia” to be soon published by HBS Law.

Day 02: 1). Definition and Calculation of Wages for Various Purposes; 2). Leaves
and Public Holidays; 3). Termination benefit & its calculation; 4).
Company Protection Clauses; 5). Labor Disputes Prevention and Resolution
Mechanisms; 6). Practical Questions from Participants.
