In
its
third edition, this concourse aims to collect works that communicate the
relation between the woman and the art, in its widest aspect. For this
reason, and in order to understand this point in the
basis, we could have used a lot of other prepositions: woman with, in,
for… the art. We want to motivate you to present to this concourse,
works that show the main prominence that always had, have
and has to have, the woman in the art, and at any part of the world.
THEME
The concourse theme is “WOMAN AND ART”
PHOTOGRAPHY SUBMISSION
Each contestant may submit up to 4 photographs. They must not have been shown in this place. A unique copy (not mass-produced), and not works that have already won a prize in any other concourse.
The
used
technic and the size of the photographs will be freewill, whenever the
works will be reproduced in high quality supports. The works must be
mounted in a black or white color, 40x50 cm
passe-partout
They
will not be admitted presentations in a cream color passe-partout, nor presentations in cardboard or foam core board.
Each contestant must submit a digital file of the submitted works in the same size, with a resolution of 300 dpi and as a JPEG format.
PARTICIPATION
The concourse is open to people from any nationality or residence.
In
order to facilitate and
reduce the price of works production and submission to this concourse
from anywhere in the world, the Promoter advises you to send your files
through the web site www.yolomando.com and order the production and presentation of your work through the services that this company offers. The agreement reached
with yolomando guarantees the proper participation in the concourse, and without any postage fee.
Independent entries will also be accepted coming from any author and anywhere in the world, if they are received within the due date of admission and free of charge at Casa de la Cultura in Villena, Plaza de Santiago No. 7 - 03400 Villena (Spain). Entries must be labelled with the indication “HELIE MEMORIAL” on the package.
AUTHOR’S DETAILS
All photographs submitted will carry on its back the title of the photography and the author’s details: name, surname, ID number, postal address, phone number, e-mail address and country.
DEADLINE
The deadline for entries will be on February 3rd, 2014. For mailings or for transport agencies it will be considered the date when the package was sent.
An
admission
Jury, selected by the Promoter, will be allowed to withdraw those
photographs that are not in compilance with the competition Terms &
Conditions or which are not received 24 hours
before the judges’ decision.
DECISION AND JURY
The jury is
consisting by Chema Madoz, Angelica Dass and Mercedes Fitipaldi. The awarding prizes will be public. Decision will be held on the
first floor of the Exhibition Hall of Casa de la Cultura in Villena next Saturday, February the 8th, 2014 at 10:00 am.
