This seminar will give you the crucial foundational skills to shift from being an individual contributor, and this interactive course helps existing and new employees, senior employees and supervisor of Hotel and Restaurant who want to further develop their knowledge and skills.

Training Objectives
At the end of this training course, the participants will be able to:
  • Understand the Hotel’s service: What is hotel & restaurant? What are they serving?
  • Understand the Hotel internal control: Calculate cost Food & Beverage, Asset control, cash receipt & disbursement, inventory control and maintaining adequate records.
  • Understand the Bottom-up Approach to Pricing: Difference between traditional pricing & Modernized pricing, Cost forecasting, Room Rate Discounting.
  • Understand the Cost Management: Direct & indirect cost, fixed & variable cost, decision making on cost management.
  • Understand the Operating Budget: Purpose of budgeting, type of budgeting, pro forma income statement budgeting, and method of budgeting ZBB, variance analysis.
  • Understand the Cash Management: Petty cash, cash on hand, cash float at bank, managing account receivable, fund surplus, cash flow forcasting.

Training Methodology
Pre and Post training evaluation: it is used to assess the changes of trainees’ skills, knowledge and attitude before and the end of the seminar.

Presentation: The trainer will present the subjects whilst participants actively listen, and take notes. Participants will be encouraged to express their comments by asking questions and providing answers from their personal experience.

Group discussion: Participants are assigned to work in small groups through brainstorming, discussion, outlining, selecting and analyzing ideas, which allow participants to contribute their comments and experiences to the whole group. This enables participants to respond and react to each other’s contributions, and allows individuals and groups to engage with and discuss their comments with the class as a whole.

Question and Answer: It encourages participants to discover their confusing and/or unclear part of the subjects and ask question to clarify, whilst all participants can actively listen and absorb at the same time.

Trainer’s Credentials
Mr. Heng was born in Cambodia and has been a professional auditor since 2006. Nearly 10 years experiences for both internal and external auditor, he has involved many industries such as construction, banking, garment factory, hotel & restaurant, supermarket, NGO, Oil & Gas, and brewery. Additionally, Mr. Heng has done business valuation for M & A, business plan for financing and cash flow restructuring. Particularly, he has been finance and accounting issues guest speaker in both local and international conference and workshop. In addition, he is senior lecturer in National University of Management and Ministry of Finance in major of accounting & finance and auditing. Mr. Heng obtained an ACCA, professional accountancy in UK and He is Certified Public Accountants in Cambodia (KICPAAs).  He also got Master’s Degree in Finance and Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.  He also has attended many trainings, workshops and conferences across Southeast Asia.
