Counsellor

E&D is looking for a Counsellor in Sexual and Reproductive Health for a 3-year project starting in September 2013 (prolongation of a EU 3-year project started in March 2011) to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality in Kompong Speu Province. The positions will be based in Kampong Speu Province during the week. E&D provides accommodation for the staff. Only candidates prepared to be based during the week in this province should apply.

The following skills are required for the position:

• Knowledge and significant experience in counselling in sexual and reproductive health
• Strong interest in psychology
• Experience in working with, training and supporting village-based volunteers
• Ability to work in remote areas (in villages, in health centres)
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent training skills
• Good English
• Good organizational and planning skills
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
• Computer literacy
• Flexibility
• Ability to work in remote areas
