“Teuk Saat 1001” is a Cambodian non-governmental organization created as an offshoot of safe drinking water supply project in rural area in partnership with the French NGO “1001 fontaines pour demain”. The first stage of the initiative started in 2005, in North West Cambodia, and has achieved to date the implementation of 50 operating sites in Battambang, BanteayMeanchey and Siem Reap provinces. These sites provide more than 50,000 people daily with safe drinking water. “TeukSaat 1001” is committed to act as a service platform for all production sites of safe water and as a project  to set-up new safe water production sites

The mission of “Teuk Saat 1001” is to implement sustainable improvement in the health of people living in isolated communities. The proposed objective of our non-profit association is to empower rural communities by enabling them to produce and guarantee quality of drinking water at an affordable price, based on a social enterprise business model, which ensures that they are self-sufficient and reach the largest number of beneficiaries.

Teuk Saat1001”“Social marketing ”has been developed in order to reinforce the capacity building program for the rural entrepreneurs,  along with “1001 fontaines” plan to roll-out the solution in different areas of Cambodia by installing 200 production sites by 2016 supported by 3 or 4 platforms. “Teuk Saat1001” is seeking a qualified Cambodian to fill the position of Sale officer, linked to the project team of the NGO, in order to follow-up entrepreneur activity in the villages and insures skills development following, “Social Marketing” program and training path.
By administrating on site supporting to entrepreneur and site on sale and marketing, Sale Officers of Teuk Saat 1001  have a key role in recruiting the customers for site, making the awareness on WASH (Water and Sanitation) for the behavior change on water consumption in the village in order to make the operating sites development and success to become autonomous and reach the breakeven point. They are responsible for recruiting and increase the number of beneficiaries in the  villages to reach the objective of Teuk Saat 1001.

Duties of candidate
Teuk Saat 1001 is seeking for Cambodian experimented in sale and marketing with a strong understanding of business and finance issues. Under the responsibility of “Teuk Saat 1001” Program Manager and in coordination with other members of the project team, he/she will be assigned the following responsibilities:

1. Supporting the sale and marketing to site
  • Develop a portfolio of 150-200 customers at the site start up and at least 250 customers at the end of the first year
  • Recruit the customers for site by the education meeting in the villages and other activities on WASH
  • Support old sites that need to increase their sales with a 50 customers recruited per intervention
  • Sales program monitoring: improve the activities and supports of sales via regular assessment
  • Researching and survey customer satisfaction

2. Entrepreneur coaching on sale and marketing
  • Support entrepreneurs in business management and development on sale and marketing with appropriate advices and coaching methods
  • Integration of Entrepreneur in training
  • Water Delivery organization in villages around the station + jug management (3first  months of site activity)

3. Communication:
  • Organize weekly briefings and monthly meetings, quarterly review meetings to analyze performance/ achievements and take suitable action when problems occur
  • Collaborate with Social marketing Manager, program manager  to develop work plans and review periodically
  • Support the social marketing manager to develop the tools kit for sale.
  • Promote the brand O-we to customers, villagers, and stakeholders

4. Reporting        
  • Sale officer results to the Program Managers and works closely with the project team in order to find solution to difficulties of customer recruitment, and help to develop its activity.

Requirements of applicant
  • Cambodian nationality
  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Management, Economy, Finance .
  • 2 year experiences in Sale, education on WASH or micro finance sector is required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Result-oriented
  • Be strong work ethic and teamwork
  • Computer skills: Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Be strong motivation and commitment to travel to project sites in rural communities
