The course will provide participants with knowledge on developing project cycle management skills in order to enable them to perform their current tasks more effectively and efficiency. The courses are designed for project manager, project officer, project coordinator, project staff, program manager, program officer, program coordinator of NGOs who the ones who work related to the fields of managing project.

Course Objectives
By the end of 4 days professional training workshop the participants will be able to:

• Learn how to develop logical frameworks and action plan more effectively
• Develop M &E frameworks for implementation the project

Session 1:  Project Management Cycle (PCM)

• Definition of project
• Purpose of project cycle management
• Steps of managing the project /Project cycle management
• Discussion roles of managers in project cycle management

Session 2:  Responsibilities of Project Managers

• Roles/responsibilities  and skills of project managers
• Detail decision on skills of project managers
• Powers and influence of managers

Session 3:  Project Design

• Refreshing on the definition of project
• How to design a successful project
• Practice designing the  project
• Project result chain: output, outcome, impact

Session 4:  Develop Activity Planning

• Identifying the activity and indicator for measurement
• Practice planning the activity and identify resource needed
• Identifying  time and responsible people
• step in project activity planning
• linkage between activity planning and  project budgeting

Session 5:  Project Monitoring

• What is monitoring? Why do we need to monitor the project?
• What are main elements for monitoring?
• Discussion on tools/materials for monitoring
• Steps in monitoring

Session 6:  Project Evaluation

• What is evaluation? Why do we need to evaluation the project?
• Difference between monitoring and evaluation
• Steps in evaluation

Training Methodology

The training methodology will be focused on participatory approaches include: lecture, student-centered including brainstorming, role play, small group discussion with plenary presentation, plenary discussion, group work, team involvement in decision making, participants’ problems raised during the workshop for discussion, communication game and any other contributions will be held in high respect.

Training tools, materials and facilities

The LCD projector, flipcharts, posters, color papers, handouts, folders, pens, papers and other stationeries, especially, daily evaluation and final evaluation and other specific materials were used to present key learning concepts and structures and to make good environment for learning and to ensure the training run smoothly and efficiency.
