Pour un Sourire d'Enfant (PSE) is a French non-profit making organization which has been established since 1996. PSE employs more than 500 dedicated staff. It provides technical and vocational education, nutrition, health care, protection & shelter, general education and community development to underprivileged students. Due to rapid growth of existing and new programs, PSE is seeking for a potential candidate for a vacant position of Food Production Instructor or Sous Chef (01 post), based in Phnom Penh.

- Train, support and guide students on food production training skills during Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Operation as well as outside catering
- Schedule and assign tasks and working roaster for students to practice in each section and follow up their performance, hygiene and utensils based on the standard of operation
- Check quality, quantity and taste of food before serving the guests and share feedback to students for the future improvement
- Do recipes, with cost calculation and methodology
- Assist to write a new menu for Lotus Blanc Restaurant and outside catering
- Evaluate student progress and performance and correct their errors both technical and behavioral
- Correct student test and type into the database
- Collaborate closely with the team to share student information and other communication
- Write a report for executive chef
Requirements
- Minimum High School Certificate or Culinary School
- Minimum 2 year experiences in a position Sous Chef of cold and main kitchen at high quality Restaurant, Resort or Hotel
- Teaching experience is not required
- Open to both qualified Cambodians and Foreigners
- Strong ability of transferring knowledge to students
- Demonstrate a strong interest in teaching food production skills
- Be able to communicate in English (French is a plus)
- IT literate ( Ms. Word and Excel, PowerPoint, ...etc.,)
- Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members
- Willing to work with vulnerable children
